| "In January I bought myself a Seagull
camera, a cheap Chinese twinlens camera, like those old ones you
flip the top up of and look down into. I had never been shooting with
squareformat (6x6) before and wanted to explore it, trying to use the
edge of the frame and the negative space. I got very fascinated by the
naked branches and the graphic shapes of the winter trees. I kept on
shooting throughout the winter and into spring, trying to catch the
'new' shape and forms of the trees with leaves and flowers. I want to
capture all four seasons before I'm done. " |
