PRODUCER/MANUFACTURER- S.M. Jaleel & Co. Ltd.
REVIEW-
Chubby is the perfect name for this line of beverages in the short and fat 8.45 fluid ounce plastic bottles. As with the Jumex line, I will probably be reviewing a different Chubby drink over the next several issues. Imagine liquified and carbonated circus peanut candy... Remember the large, chewy pinkish-orange candy peanuts? In past years I have wondered what the hell that flavor was supposed to be. I thought this very unique chemical flavor was truly a lab created candy flavoring... And then I found that flavoring in Chubby Sorrel Soda. This is a very odd tasting beverage, and a big gulp of Red #40. Didn't they ban that here in the U.S. years ago because it causes cancer??? Oh well... This goes up there in the top 10 list of the Most Repulsive Beverages. Sorrel is a succulent herb. It has a long history of being a medicinal herb, but I didn't read anything about it being used as a candy flavoring. Watch out...
