What Is Shave?

Shave is a state of surreal perfection. I think back to a vision I had one night, lying by the Olentangy River with some friends in Ohio. The movie that was superimposed onto the night sky was one of ultra symmetry. There were two rows of marble Corinthian style pillars, and in perfect synchronization, cardboard cut-outs of Marilyn Monroe in various standing poses would spin out to the center of this black-and-white tiled ballroom floor then spin back behind the pillars. Like clockwork. Perfect...

As this concept developed in my mind, a character, or role developed... I pictured a shave librarian as someone who catalogs, organizes and presents shave (surreally perfect) experiences.

People can have a shave edge. And certain elements may be shave such as sunglasses, a haircut or even perfectly waxed eyebrows... Perfect lawns and hedges... Architecture and car designs... Shave can also be an observation filter for extremely focused dreamers.
